Sometssing about Chinese ..
If you look tired , they serve you with a glass of water or juice immediately .
Women ,very kind , very understanding , very helpful , fashionable (read - extremely fashionable , or may be pretend to , everyone look the same :-) atleast to me ) . Drive less cars and more buses *#$$!!
Men , Like to take up all the physical work , even if it is women's work .How chivalric , gentlemen!
Children, some percentage are like why the h*** are they here . Some are like angels , yet all look the same . God , looks are so deceiving !
People , Old , or young , one can blindly trust them even if lost , you wouldn't be ripped off by a taxi or burgled anywhere . Still yet to know how this system is so much strongly in place .And ya , if you happen to pass by a middle aged man or even a woman acting crazy or playing with others , then I can assure you they AREN'T DRUNK . They are or rather ..act funny :-)
Language , Unless you are in a city like Shanghai or Beijing , no mutli-lingual issues . But otherwise , having chinese texts for your english ones are very necessary .
Climate , South of china almost like moderate climate . North of china , in extreme climate , summer , sun rises at 4.40am and sets by around 7.20 pm . In winter , can expect snowfalls , but very mild though temperatures drop to -25 ~-30 deg C .
Environment : Very clean
Traffic : Left hand driving , on right side of the roads .

A non- nonvegetarian experience
As I am seated , a smiling woman comes up to me ," Nihaou !How may I assit you ?". I said ,"Nihaou ,I need some vegetarian food please !" She offeres me some sandwich with some green toppings and says "iga suu da" (meaning this is vegetarian ).I open out the sandwich and find some flesh like substances as well as some tomoto look-a-like capsicums and some green stuffs.Any plant with root , stem , branch ..would make my vegggy delicacy .
Woa , as if understanding my inner battle , my chinese colleague immediately confirms affirmatively . The detective in me was waiting for a green signal to find out more , but I felt it would be too much for my colleague to gulp it , who jumps up if he gets any hint of me eating any non-vegetarian food . I ate ,except THAT , rapidly not tolerating my hunger . And then , asked him why he said so .Pat came the response , "It is Salmon and it is vegetarian "!!!
For sea foodies , seafood is obviously a veg' but that cannot change the definition of a VEGETABLE !

Beautiful Letter
Beautiful letter written by a father to his son!
Use this in your teachings to your children.
I am writing this to you because of 3 reasons
1.Life, fortune and mishaps are unpredictable, nobody knows how long he lives. Some words are better said early.
2. I am your father, and if I don't tell you these, no one else will.
3. What is written is my own personal bitter experiences that perhaps could save you a lot
of unnecessary heartaches.
Remember the following as you go through life
1. Do not bear grudge towards those who are not good to you. No one has the responsibility of treating you well, except your mother and I. To those who are good to you, you have to treasure it and be thankful, and ALSO you have to be cautious, because, everyone has a motive for every move. When a person is good to you, it does not mean he really likes you. You have to be careful, don't hastily regard him as a real friend.
2. No one is indispensable, nothing in the world that you must possess. Once you understand this idea, it would be easier for you to go through life when people around you don't want you anymore, or when you lose what/who you love most.
3. Life is short. When you waste your life today, tomorrow you would find that life is leaving you. The earlier you treasure your life, the better you enjoy life.
4. Love is but a transient feeling, and this feeling would fade with time and with one's mood. If your so called loved one leaves you, be patient, time will wash away your aches and sadness. Don't over exaggerate the beauty and sweetness of love, and don't over exaggerate the sadness of falling out of love.
5. A lot of successful people did not receive a good education, that does not mean that you can be successful by not studying hard! Whatever knowledge you gain is your weapon in life. One can go from rags to riches, but one has to start from some rags!
6. I do not expect you to financially support me when I am old, either would I financially support your whole life. My responsibility as a supporter ends when you are grown up. After that, you decide whether you want to travel in a public transport or in your limousine, whether rich or poor.
7. You honour your words, but don't expect others to be so. You can be good to people, but don't expect people to be good to you. If you don't understand this, you would end up with unnecessary troubles.
8. I have bought lotteries for umpteen years, but I never strike any prize. That shows if you want to be rich, you have to work hard! There is no free lunch!
9. No matter how much time I have with you, let's treasure the time we have together. We do not know if we would meet again in our next life .

"To celebrate growing older, I once wrote the 45 lessons life taught me. It is the most requested column I've ever written. My odometer rolled over to 90 in August, so here is the column once more:
1. Life isn't fair, but it's still good.
2. When in doubt, just take the next small step.
3. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.
4. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends and parents will. Stay in touch.
5. Pay off your credit cards every month.
6. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.
7. Cry with someone. It's more healing than crying alone.
8. It's OK to get angry with God. He can take it.
9. Save for retirement starting with your first paycheck.
10. When it comes to chocolate, resistance is futile.
11. Make peace with your past so it won't screw up the present.
12. It's OK to let your children see you cry.
13. Don't compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
14. If a relationship has to be a secret, you shouldn't be in it.
15. Everything can change in the blink of an eye. But don't worry; God never blinks.
16.. Take a deep breath. It calms the mind.
17. Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or joyful.
18. Whatever doesn't kill you really does make you stronger.
19. It's never too late to have a happy childhood. But the second one is up to you and no one else.
20. When it comes to going after what you love in life, don't take no for an answer.
21. Burn the candles, use the nice sheets, wear the fancy lingerie. Don't save it for a special occasion. Today is special.
22. Over prepare, then go with the flow.
23. Be eccentric now. Don't wait for old age to wear purple.
24. The most important sex organ is the brain.
25. No one is in charge of your happiness but you.
26. Frame every so-called disaster with these words 'In five years, will this matter?'
27. Always choose life.
28. Forgive everyone everything.
29. What other people think of you is none of your business.
30. Time heals almost everything. Give time time.
31. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.
32. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
33. Believe in miracles.
34. God loves you because of who God is, not because of anything you did or didn't do.
35. Don't audit life. Show up and make the most of it now.
36. Growing old beats the alternative -- dying young.
37. Your children get only one childhood.

You are a master piece!
Nice article ..
A plum once said, just because a banana lover came by, I converted myself into a banana. Unfortunately, his taste changed after a few months and so I became an orange. When he said I was bitter I became an apple, but he went in search of grapes. Yielding to the opinions of so many people, I have changed so many times that I no more know who I am. How I wish I had remained a plum and waited for a plum lover.Just because a group of people do not accept you as you are, there is no necessity for you to strip yourself of your originality.
You need to think good of yourself, for the world takes you at your own estimate. Never stop down in order to gain recognition. Never let go of your true self to win a relationship. In the long run, you will regret that you traded your greatest glory - your uniqueness, for momentary validation. Even Gandhi was not accepted by many people. The group that does not accept you the way you are, is not your world.There is a world for each one of you, where you shall reign as king / queen by just being yourself. Find that world... in fact, that world will find you.What water can do, gasoline cannot and what copper can, gold cannot. The fragility of the ant enables it to move and the rigidity of the tree enables it to stay rooted.
Everything and everybody has been designed with a proportion of uniqueness to serve a purpose that we can fulfill only by being our unique self. You as you alone can serve your purpose and I as I alone can serve my purpose. You are here to be you... just you.There was a time in this world when a Krishna was required and he was sent; a time when a Christ was required and he was sent; a time when a Mahatma was required and he was sent; There came a time when you were required on this planet and hence you were sent. Let us be the best we can be. Don't miss yourself and let the world not miss you.In the history of the universe, there has been nobody like you and to the infinite of time to come, there will be no one like you. I happened to surf and found this poem on every noble man's page .Thought I would add it too!

Chip and Dale
There is a mom squirrel that has built a new home in our home . A soft , fluffy nest for its offsprings . It climbs the tree and leaps a long jump on to our building and enters our home through the window . It's baby is screaming loud ( a weak one though ) .The mom enters , hushes it's baby , some argument goes on and the mom leaves in a haste with the baby so silent now .
By now I am all ready to witness all this .
The mom squi (Chip ) enters and feeds it's baby .
The baby (Dale ) is quite old now ( 2-3 weeks old u see ) and is demanding to go out and explore the beautiful world . Here I have tried interpreting their conversation :
Day 1
Chip (Mom ) : O baby , u rn't yet old enough to get out . Stay here , while I am off . U r safe here .
Dale(Baby ) : Mama , let me out , let me follow u . I am bored here u see . Am all alone . There are some other creatures (we humans ) here too .
Chip : Hey , stay away from there , don't even get down from our home . Be in till I come and call out .
Dale : But ..... Mama .... errr ... I want to come along .
Chip : No response , and she was off in search of food .
Story continues for few more days
Day 6
Dale : Calling out , chirping out .
Meanwhile we close all the windows so that the baby doesn't escape to the outer world where crows , eagles and cats are ready to have their early morning feast .
I go out and what do I see , the Chip is on her way to our home climbing the pipelines and trees and approaching our house . I immediately clear all the ways for her to enter our house
She comes , the baby squiiing even louder .
I was left spellbound at the beauty of the nature . She is hardly fearful of any thing , even me , as her priority was else where . Woo ! I was like , hats off to u Chip !!
She enters the room where she has built her home very precisely . Talks to the baby
Chip : Dale , why r u out ? Didn't I ask u to stay In ???? (Angry )
Dale : Mamamma ma mama a ma ama , I am waiting for u . Today I can come out right ?
Chip : Hmmm ....
Dale : See mama , how I dared to get out of the home and have even climbed this window :)
Chip : (U idiot )The ppl here are quite believable
Then she holds her baby in her jaw .The baby fights back wanting to walk on it's own . But Dale's control now being with Chip , shakes Dale and was off on the new journey .
Today , I witnessed this beauty and was left with a nice feeling . All day , myself and my sisters joked apart about the baby's reaction after the training :
Dale : [ How I wish I was at home , it is soooooo tiring to climb the trees ]
No wonder , the mother would have had the last laugh !!

Change / Surprise ?
The first post of this year .
Have you heard of somebody getting bored of their image and doing something drastic to it for a CHANGE ? If so , I too get added along the league .Got a hair cut , to my surprise shocked myself ..I didn't mean what I said to the parlorist , but what happened was exactly what I wanted ... A change .. on 31st of Dec -08
So here I am with all the new hair do ..that my colleagues took few seconds ...(to minutes in exceptional cases of ppl too lost in their world to try hitting their cerebellums and recall who I am .For them it is just another person whom they DON'T KNOW ?? )
To begin with the new year , I forgot the incident that happened the day before and was casually seated on my seat . 1st comes my PM .The routine is like this ,he stands there to switch on the light over his cabin and meanwhile if I am seated , will greet me .That day , he switches the light ON , but somebody unusual has occupied his teammate's seat .His inner drive urges him to greet me , but something else pauses him for a while and he keeps gazing . The next second there he is smiling showing his fastest ability to recognize(U see 3 sec) .He goes to his seat as if nothing is unusual :) .
Then comes our very known Suri , who walks as if he is a skeleton in a slow motion movie and is the least burdened person on this planet ..But before I proceed , I must enter another scene , call it Scene 2 .
Scene 2: Before Suri went on vacation , DBS was his neighbour , who happens to be our PL .The day Suri left early for his holidays , our very PL shifted to a luxury zone , u know an independent cubicle that only PMs have the liberty to enjoy . And I occupied his old place which is adjacent to that of Suri's .
Back to old scene of Suri entering on the new year day at 11.00 am ( u see why he is hardly tensed... ) Suri is standing behind me with all the hostility possible and is puzzeled .I am working and donot know what's happening at my back .Then something flashes and he sits next to my place and greets a hi and casually turns on his PC and comments "Kya , naya hair style kya ." I turn back to him , and was equally releived to find him gone to Tirupathi and said "tumne bhiiii :) ?? "
Then comes our husmukhlal , DBS , who is quite loud in expressing himself . He is now standing right behind me in all smiles knowing exactly what the change is :) New year greetings are exchanged between us and now all the talk is in the air . Meanwile PM joins and we 4 of us are in a nostalgic discussion about our Christmas - New year holidays . Slowly , all air is cleared . DBS says the cut is good and asks for the reason . PM appreciated my haircut and complimented it too . Suri's turn .He says , he was quite puzzeled as to why DBS has this kind of a hairdo .His experience with the new Me burst everyone into a loud laughter . Now comes another team mate of ours , call her Mrs.B . She comes with all the music and dance in herself ( a la - lala la la la ala ala al kind of U see :) ) She has seen the 3 of us and assumed they are talking to another associate (which is me ) . She greets all of them and just has a glimpse of me . "Wooooooo , Tara ", is her reaction . She says I look like a small , cute kid !!! Hmmm , that was amazing of her to say so :) and I am rejuvenated !
It is even more terrific to be with those who have already identified U but have a completely bald cut (Suri here ) and u r waiting for a 3rd person who is still new to this BIG surprise :) We are waiting for Sup at lunch and are already at a table .She comes looking for me , a person with more shoulder length long hair with Suri and group . She stands amidst the crowd and is very close to our table .She looks around ,and around . Woof , I call her on her cell and Bunty comes and rescues her :) So I ask her to follow Bunty (who knows abt this the previous day ) to reach me .
She comes with the biggest smile and all her teeth shining for so long and her eyes not moving out of me ; showed she was mesmerised and happy with this , and she was OK with it :) . What a relief it was that she okayed it :)

The morning I say a hello to my fellow associate at breakfast . He ignores . I follow him to make sure I say a hello and accompany them .He joins another friend of mine who too ignores the person approaching him . I sit there with new year greetings to them and they take a while before gulping my identity :) .We laugh out loud . They felt why a lady comes and needs no permission to sit with them . Hehe he , ppl who know each other don't need to do formalities U see :)
I am passing by , and my another aquaintance sees me smiling , and she returns the smile deeply looking at me . For a second she blinks both her eyes and then calls me out with an instant ( 2nd precisely) and compliments the hairdo .

Then comes the much awaited meet after 23 days with a new hairdo and the effects still not gone esp with ppl whom I haven't met .Now let's call this guy BG . I say him a Hi , ( a quieter one ) which he does notice but is n't sure of the person whom he will return the Hi . Stands there stunned and jawdropped and smiling with absoloute clarity in his reaction that he knows me and doesn't know me either :) I just pass by allowing his choke to turn ON his Tubelight :)

The 14th of Feb
14th of February -all over the world , is celebrated as the Valentine's day . Today , we have headed to a faster era , 7 years after the 2nd millennium after the birth of Lord Jesus , and entered in to the 8th year too! Technology seems to have reduced everything from distance to feelings!!Wth the fast moving pace , feelings are desperately expressed with an even greater speed !This day is marked to express love for one another !
On 14th I wake up & see the date : 14 th .....What can be done to make this day a memorable day in my life or rather in our lives ?I am not aware of the significance or the history of the day , however , I knew one thing :- It is a Valentine's day .Who was St.Valentine ? Err.. he was a Saint !!! Wikipedia says this day he was buried in AD 269 in Rome .A catholic encyclopidea says St.Valentine was martyred in Africa .Valentine of Terni became bishop of Interamna about AD 197 and is said to have been killed during the persecution of Emperor Aurelian .Oh my God!!Ghosh ! How many Saints and yet the one day . Remarkable isn't it ?All of them sacrificed their lives for a noble cause !The first secretly encouraged marriage of soldiers against the laws of Roman emperor Claudius II who believed that single men can make a good army . Saint was executed for this , but before execution , he is also reported to have healed the blind daughter of his jailer . Now wasn't this a kind act ? How human , how just , how noble their gestures were ! They worked for a cause , they sacrificed for a cause , a cause for HUMANS , to protect HUMANITY !
That was a medieval period . What in 21st century , we wish to remember those . It becomes a gift , a flower from a man to a woman . Ghosh ! What about the rest ? How do they celebrate ? What about the singles ? What do we do ?
No worries ..!!We still have each day to celebrate , to give , to spread kind gestures , sincere tributes to noted and respected persons . All these thoughts lingered in my mind . A small act of grace has to be done to mark this day in my calender . So , I and my friend , Sup , chose to distribute chocolates to whomever we know and whomever I admire :-) . After this , it left some satisfaction within us . Are these emotions ? Dare think so ? Na , they are actions , they are verbs , they are work that resulted into emotions , feelings and finally dissolved in to our memories .

Get together 2007
What is it that stands with us , that we carry all our way ?
Memories stand along when everything has left us!(Though another being Hopes :) ) We were a batch of 60 when we joined Engineering in the year 2002 at SRSIT , and now jab we met on 22nd of Dec ,2007 , we were almost peaking the equivalent strength of about 30+ :) .The vaanara sena met after 1 and a half year of completion of Engg and the magnitude of madness & craze is very much self explanatory!
Each one wanted to shock the other by displaying as much enthusiasm as possible. Each wanted to surprise the other , have a deep chat .But....., these but-s ....Here , everyone except me reached in time by 10.30 AM at the college campus filled with greenery & 'peace' till then , only to find College authorities making it all a 'wonderful' alumni meeting !Stage from nowhere came in to limelight , mikes were organised for the students (that is , us) to share their experience , Princi ,administrative officer , placement officer ellaru nammana darshana kodakke prakatavaadaru !!And only we know how it tastes like , something we always wished to bunk!
So , done with all the labour .Everyone bore the pain.Then arrives this very me as the police in the movie sharp at 12.15 PM .I entered the college campus with a mixture of feelings , anxious , sad to be late , worried that everything was over , all gala time i missed .I missed the fun !!! But here what do I see ?? Everyone so happy , watching me coming now . I entered the auditorium thinking i am entering an official meeting , but wow!!!The stage is filled with my classmates , mike one of us holding, the distinguished guests seemed to have disappeared .Only the kapi galu seated on the honorary chairs !!! Wooooo! I ran , waving at my batchmates , hugging my dear friends , and jumped on to the stage to celebrate OUR day .All of us had fun now ."I arrived at the right time dear ", said to myself .Had some moments with each of us , cracked some pjs for which none of us missed laughing ! As time passed , we had lunch ,seated in the circumference of a circle formed by us .
Then came our favourite pastime , Cricket !! This is what brought us together in the past , and now ,also in the present .Formed 2 teams , aur chal diye . One team already decided to bat . But internally , the other team also decided to bat . We could see a batsman from each team readily standing !!! Confusions , hilarious , funny to face and be involved in it ! I bowled to a strong batsman by giving a dead ball ( 2 bounces). But what to do , my bad luck was quite good , it hit the wicket . He had to go . Everyone accepted gal's way of cricket without any rules ! I just loved this .Overthrow was allowed . Their arrogance to play lightly and our show off of power of cricket paved way to such a genteel !It was a comedy theatre with spectators and players doing either jobs or both !Then opposite teams played their due .
Some body won , but who cared ? Each enjoyed making others happy! Then came the real time that is actual :). We all seated on the green grass began with interviews of who is who of the class. Leg pulling was in the air , and we enjoyed this chain pulling . When people of same rapport , and simple friendship meet , we know that there is always comfort life long !
Aren't we friends forever ?

Garba & Dandiya
6 long years of wait were worth when I learnt that cultural events were being organised in the company.A wait from entertaining my SELF ."Yippe" occured 1st to the mind after which it went into hibernation only to wake up after the last dates of registration.I knew I had to rush to simply keep this 6 yrs without any further additions .I sent my nomination to hear what I knew : I am late , nevertheless , the guy was cool enough to add me in to the list of participants . So , here we go : in to the 1st step : Selected list of participants amongst the non-registered.Next step ?? Filtering ??? phew !! We practised , struggled & even dared to smile while we were here for the final practice 3rd time in a weekend .And now , it was a Sunday , 14 of us were through for Garba , a traditional dance from Gujarat , and 22 (of which few were common to Garba) were for Dandiya . Hurrray!!I was in to Garba . Tuesday , THE day arrived . We all had a very unique dressing sense , dressed up with ghaghra cholis , an attire that shone with reflections of the mirrors embedded in them . How we blushed when we wore them shone brighter !
1 ,2 , 3 -GO : The music ..We enter , the audience were seen from the corner of our eyes , then we got immersed in to the music , dancing , dipping ourselves in the harmony of each other , laughing , smiling . Music : FAST PITCH : phew , the guys behind the screen , our participant - mates ;encouraged enough , shouted well , cheered us , and brought the energy we displayed during the entire interval of a fast pitch dance. It looked beautiful !Woah! In the tiredom of dancing immensely , we laughed , we smiled at each other . I still wonder where did we do this from? Now I remember , Smile is Contagious !!Never BE WARE of it ! We could hear the audience applauding in rythm with our fast pitch . It vibrated the energy in us ! We danced & danced till the music was switched off , then we enetered the backyard . There our guys cheered us to the core that we forgot we were tired . Then came Dandiya , I wasn't a part of it though , but had an opportunity to watch it straight from backyard . It was all over .
Time for our recognition ..how we ran to the stage for the recognition , after such a beautiful event , hooo , we were captured , some in stand still , some moving ! I have them all , I owe Them ALL ! photos , videos , memories , feelings , & passion , I will carry them ALL! I loved my self for not having seized this opportunity .
